Catching Up...

So I've noticed that most of my posts begin with "It's been awhile..." or something to the affect of slacking when it comes to my blog lol. I really will try and get better :) Now that miss Gracie has joined us I actually have stuff to blog about, but I never seem to be in the mood. So I will start with her blessing day.

We finally got around to blessing her on December 9. Her cousin BrookLynn was baptized the same night, so it was a special day for our family! Gracie's Grandpa Leithead gave her a beautiful blessing!! She was fussy before and after, but during the blessing she quieted right down. Grandpa Rael said he peeked at her a couple times and she was staring intently at everyone in the circle. Whatever keeps her quiet :) And she quickly got fussy again afterwards. Especially for pictures. And me being a terrible mother, I didn't even get a picture with her by herself in her dress :(
I can't believe how quickly time has gone these past few months. In a few weeks, Gracie will be 6 months old!!! I know I've said this many times lol, but she is at such a fun stage. She always doing something to make us laugh! She is such a happy girl (most of the time). Even though she won't giggle for us anymore :( But she always has a smile for us!! At 5 months she...

~rolls over front to back, and recently back to front.

~tries scooting across the floor.

~LOVES her rice cereal and vegetables (she is going to be a good eater. Anytime anyone eats in front of her she can't take her eyes off of them)

~stopped sleeping through the night (ever since she got sick, she gets up once or twice every night.)

~getting closer to sitting up.

~gets so excited when her cousins play with her, although Ava makes her a little nervous still :)

~likes to talk, especially if she's by herself.

~makes the best faces :)

It's been too long...

I think it's about time I try and catch up on the last few months!! We have been so busy with little Gracie, wedding plans, and everyday life. I can't believe Gracie will be 3 months this Thursday! She has been such a good girl this past month. We had lots of late nights and a few trips to Billings. She was definitely a trooper through the whole thing!

At her 2-month appointment she was 11 pounds and 23 inches long. She is growing so fast :( She is such a happy girl, and is always giving smiles away :) She giggled for the first time a few days ago. (Oct. 1) But sadly, I missed it! We were decorating the gym for the reception, and her aunties Kristin and Kacee had her in the kitchen. They came out and informed me that I missed her first giggle! I wanted to cry. And she still has yet to share a giggle since then :( She has been sleeping completely through the night for almost two months now. That has been heavenly :) She is just an all-around good baby!! Here are a couple pics that Kristin took when she was a month old...

I'm so glad (along with everyone else :)) that all the wedding planning is finally over!!! We tied the knot last Saturday (Oct. 2) It was the perfect day!! We had the ceremony in Cowley, in Dave and Jennie's backyard. We weren't going to bother with the weather, so we decided to have a tent from the get go. Pretty sure we didn't need it though :) It was plenty warm. Thank goodness the ceremony didn't last too long. Bishop Steve McArthur performed the ceremony (we were his first marriage) and he did a wonderful job! After the ceremony we had a short break for some pictures, then it was over to the Cowley Log Gym for the reception! We enjoyed visiting with lots of friends and family, dancing, and some good food :) Everything turned out perfect!!! We can't thank everyone enough for all the hard work that was put into our special! We are truly blessed with such awesome families and friends who are willing to do ANYTHING for us!!!
Don't mind my mushiness, but I'm so glad I can finally call Tyler my husband! I can't even begin to tell you how much I love him. He is such a hard worker and will do whatever it takes to provide for our family! I couldn't ask for a better hubby/father for me and Gracie! I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him!!! I love you sooo much babe :)
Here are a few engagements and bridals (also taken by Kristin :)) THANK YOU KRISTIN!!!

Our Little "Angell"

Well she finally made her appearance! Gracie Mae Angell arrived on July 7, 2010, at 7:00 pm. She weighed in at 7 lbs 15 oz, and was 19 1/2 inches long. I'm pretty sure her lucky number might be "7" :) She came with lots of dark hair. (lots to me, I was a baldy) The moment she arrived she was wide awake and ready for lots of visitors! Our little girl is no doubt a much loved angel...especially by her mom and dad!
Here's the story....

We went in for a doctors appointment at 9 o'clock on Wednesday the 7th. Of course we hear the usual, everything looks good. To this point I hadn't had any contractions or anything. I thought for sure she was going to be stubborn and drag this out as long as possible. So Dr. Ellis went ahead and checked me and I was 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. He went ahead and stripped my membranes. He then told us he would put money on me going that night or in the morning, but just in case we went ahead and scheduled another appointment, and a date to be induced if she hadn't already come. Then we were on our way back home.

We got home around 11:00, Ty had to go run a few errands, so I went ahead and finished packing our hospital bags, and finished up a few things around the house. Not long after, I was starting to have some contractions. I tried to lay down and take a little cat nap, but the pain was getting more and more intense. I tried eating a little lunch, that wasn't gonna happen. Took a bath, and it only made me more tired. I was definitely miserable. Kristin came over around 3:30 and we started timing contractions, but they were still irregular. I started puking with almost every other contraction. So finally around 5:15 we decided we better head back to Powell. We got almost to Garland, and my water breaks...oh joy! So we haul butt, and get to the hospital, get checked in and into a room. The nurse comes in to get me hooked up, all the while I'm still puking every 5 minutes. She proceeds to check me and I was almost fully dilated. This is awesome, no time for drugs. By this time I honestly thought I wasn't gonna make it much longer. Dr. Ellis still hadn't shown up, and Gracie was ready to come. Finally the dr. comes, just in time for me to start pushing. After what seemed like 5 minutes, Gracie made her debut at exactly 7 o'clock!!! Tyler and I have never been so happy in our lives :) Little miss was perfect!!!

She immediately had family rolling in to see her! I was surprised most of them made it in time :) I'm still amazed at how fast it all went. I guess I am pretty lucky, considering all the stories I've heard of people being in labor for over 30 hours! Gracie was definitely in a hurry to get here, and we are absolutely thrilled she is finally here!!! She has been such a good baby...so far. Since we've brought her home, we've only had one night where we were up the whole night feeding. Other than that she sleeps so good in her bassinet, and usually has to be woken up to eat. Me and Dad are definitely lucky to have such a sweet little girl! It's amazing how you can instantly fall in love with someone you just met! Gracie has her Dad and I wrapped around her little finger :) We love you so much Gracie Mae...and we are so glad you are here and healthy!!!

Baby Update

Well we've been to the doctor twice since my last update! The first one we went in hoping to get an ultrasound. When the doctor wanted to just do a quick check up, we asked what we could do to get an ultrasound. He said I was measuring a little big for how long I was, so he would use that as an excuse to get us one :) So they set us up for an appoitment the next day. Sure enough, they could tell right off the bat that it was definitely a GIRL! Little stinker didn't want to show her face either, so we didn't get a good picture. But everything looked great! We are both so excited to have a little girl!!! I don't think I would know what to do with a boy!
This last appointment was the dreaded glucose test. I think everyone I talked to was trying to scare me. I was dreading it for like a week before! But it really wasn't bad at all! I just wasn't very happy they made me fast for it :) I haven't heard back from the doctor so hopefully I passed! After this appointment I start going in every two weeks. It's gone by so fast! Only a couple more months before we get to meet our baby girl :) It's so fun to feel and even watch her move around! She tends to move around the most when I'm just going to bed!

For other news...we found a place to rent, so we have been living downtown for a couple weeks now! It took us forever to get all moved in, which is sad because we didn't have much to move :) but we finally got. Now we're working on getting everything put up, organized, and stuff hung on the walls! It's a cute, two bedroom apartment, with one and a half bathrooms. Once we get everything situated I will post pictures.

Coming this July...

...Baby Angell!!! My due date is July 9, Grandpa Leithead's birthday :) We have yet to find out the sex, but hopefully we will get another ultrasound when we go back in next week! Judging from the first ultrasound, he/she will probably be a thumbsucker...oh boy :) Ty and myself are both pretty excited...especially since Catherine is due just a couple weeks after me!

Other than that we have been pretty boring. We are looking for a place in Lovell, so if anyone knows of any rentals let us know :)
